The event concludes today with a keynote presentation from global icon Martha Stewart, industry titan Bruce Linton and media entrepreneur Derek Riedle.

Today will also host ten sessions that will explore global cannabis research, growing mainstream partnerships and an in-depth look at corporate social responsibility practices within the industry.

“It’s an incredible feeling to look around the room and see industry leaders from around the globe, gathered together in Saint John, New Brunswick,” says Derek Riedle, Founder and Publisher of Civilized. “We have the industry’s top talent representing countries such as Australia, Israel, the UK, the U.S., and more. This is proof of how far the industry has come and how far our reach now extends. Our work is far from over, but witnessing the ground-breaking work and new connections being made here is incredible.”

“Hosting the World Cannabis Congress in Saint John for the second consecutive year helps to position New Brunswick as a global cannabis knowledge centre and shows stakeholders from around the world that our city and our region are open for business on cannabis-related ventures,” said Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John – Rothesay, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). “I am pleased that the Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation Program, contributed funding to help bring this Congress together, recognizing the role this industry will play in our shared economic future.”
